Victorian romantic poetry by England's poet laureate. Many of the poems have nautical themes. The eponymous poem is pretty amazing; I also enioyed "The Flower", "The Voyage," and "The Sailor Boy." Even the poems I liked less still had great style and turn of phrase.One or two poems are in dialect, which is pretty hard to read.
It is great to read the poem as he was first published, not in a compilation, without any analysis or footnotes. The free Kindle edition has no formatting or spelling issues, and it is a pretty short read.

Great work of self-sacrificing love written in Victorian poetic style. Sentimental but deep. A must read for lovers of true love and romance.
